CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - All the way from the North Pole, Santa Claus is making his rounds in western New York. Jolly Old Saint Nick could be seen outside the Niagara Hobby in Cheektowaga this past weekend.
Children also got a chance to meet one of Santa’s elves and a reindeer. The two greeted kids in a 1949 red caboose. This annual tradition is free, and a way for the store owners to give back to the community.
Niagara Hobby’s John Kavulich said giving back is what the holidays are all about, “We are a big believer in putting something back into the community.”
If you missed Santa this weekend, don’t worry he’ll be outside the Niagara Hobby every weekend in December until Christmas.
