National Chains Don’t Understand What Layaway Means

TUESDAY, 2 OCTOBER 2012: The following radio commercial will be broadcast on WYRK- FM (106.5), WBLK-FM (93.7), WJYE-FM (96.1), KISS-FM (98.5), and STAR-FM (102.5) from Wednesday, 3 October 2012 through Friday, 5 October 2012:

Background NHCM jingle instrumental….

Usually you don’t hear from Niagara Hobby & Craft Mart for a few more weeks, but national chains are promoting Layaway- what used to be Will-Call, so we thought local independent retailers needed a voice.

One national store has Layaway ending in mid-December.  That’s nuts.  Customers need every day to save.  If you need until Christmas Eve, we’ll have your item.

They have fees.  We don’t.

If a customer has a financial issue and needs extra time… we help.  That’s what buying and supporting local means.

Some national chains are really offering “Virtual Layaway”- you have a receipt, but the item’s somewhere else… so what if the item isn’t in the store when you want it?

At Niagara Hobby & Craft Mart, when a customer opens a Layaway, we keep the item….  Undisturbed….until it’s picked-up.

Layaway is meant to be helpful… we take that seriously.

Celebrating family, building traditions… all in one place.

Niagara Hobby & Craft Mart.  Union Road at Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga.  Open every day.
